Fees per order include the final value fee, calculated on the item price, shipping, and sales tax together, and the per-order fee. Below the break-even order count, selling with no Store costs less in fees plus subscription. Above it, the Store costs less.

eBay Store questions
Is an eBay Store worth it?
It depends on how many orders you sell a month, what they sell for, and the category. A Store lowers the final value fee in many categories but adds a monthly subscription, so it pays off once the fee reduction across your orders is larger than the subscription. The calculator shows that comparison for your numbers.
What does a Basic eBay Store cost?
eBay lists the Basic Store at $21.95 a month with yearly renewal or $27.95 a month with monthly renewal, as of October 8, 2026. The calculator uses the prices from the shared fee schedule and shows the date they were checked.
Do Starter Store sellers pay lower fees?
No. Per eBay's fee pages, Starter Store sellers pay the same final value fee rates as sellers without a Store. Basic, Premium, Anchor, and Enterprise subscribers pay the lower Store rates in most categories.
What is the break-even number of orders?
It is the monthly order count at which the fee reduction from a Store equals the subscription price. Below it, selling without a Store costs less in fees plus subscription. Above it, the Store costs less.
What does the calculator leave out?
It compares final value fees, per-order fees, and the subscription. It does not include insertion fees, monthly free listing allowances, or other Store features, which also differ by Store level. You can enter your own final value fee rates if your category is not in the list.
