The short answer

What Seller Hub is and how to open it

eBay describes Seller Hub as the central place for managing your eBay business, free to use, with its selling tools gathered in one location.1 People also call it sellerhub, sellers hub, the eBay hub, or the eBay seller dashboard. They all mean the same thing.

  1. Go to Seller Hub using the link in eBay's Seller Hub help page.
  2. Sign in with your eBay username and password.
  3. You land on the Overview page, with the other tabs along the top.

eBay says you need to have had at least one sale to use Seller Hub.1 If you have only listed so far and cannot see it, that is the first thing to check.

On a phone, eBay's help describes the eBay app for selling: you go to the Selling page and choose List an item, and you can also relist items and add tracking.2 eBay's app page does not say that the app shows the same ten tabs as the website, so look at your own screen for what the app offers.

Ten tabs

What each Seller Hub tab does

eBay lists these tabs in its Seller Hub help page.1 Some tools inside them depend on whether you have a Store, and eBay may add or rename tabs, so treat this as a map and not a promise about your screen.

Seller Hub tabs and what eBay says each is for, paraphrased from eBay's Seller Hub help page.

What the Overview dashboard shows

The Overview page is the one most people mean by the eBay overview page or seller dashboard. It summarizes your tasks, orders, listings and feedback and links to the actions you use often.1 It is also where eBay shows your monthly selling limit: scroll to the Monthly limits section.3 The number there belongs to your account, so we do not quote any figures here. eBay says active and sold listings both count toward the limit and that it is reviewed each month.3

Where things are

Where to find fees, payouts and reports

  • Payouts. eBay says you can see past payouts, when the next one is due, and whether any funds are on hold. The Payments tab is the place to track them.1
  • Fee details. eBay says your fees are taken from your sale proceeds and you can see the details in Payments in Seller Hub.4 For what each charge means, see our eBay fees explained guide, and use the eBay fee calculator for the arithmetic.
  • Sales and selling costs report. Open the Sales section of the Performance tab, choose a period and a comparison period, and select Generate Report. The report splits sales and shows selling costs from eBay fees and shipping labels, with a breakdown of the fees.1
  • Orders download. On the Manage orders page in Seller Hub, select Download report at the top right of the table for a CSV of the orders in your current results. It includes a field for tax eBay collected and remitted.1
  • Reports tab. eBay describes it as aimed at high-volume sellers who manage inventory in bulk.4
Research

The Research tab and Product research

The Research tab is where eBay's Product research lives. eBay says sellers with Seller Hub access can use it, and that it covers the last 3 years of eBay sales data, including sales trends, average sales price, sold price range and sell through rate for searches of items sold 90 days ago or less.5 Sourcing insights is a further tool that eBay includes with a Basic Store subscription or above.5 For how sold data compares with completed listings, see our sold listings guide.

Store tab

What the Store tab covers

The Store tab is where a Store subscriber manages the subscription, store categories and layout, and promotion, and reviews Store traffic.1 eBay also says Store subscribers manage Discounts Manager and Promoted listings from Seller Hub.1 If you are weighing a subscription, our eBay Store break-even calculator does the math with your own numbers.

Compared

Seller Hub and My eBay

My eBay is the account area on the site. For buying it holds pages such as your Watchlist, Saved searches and Purchase history.6 Seller Hub is the selling side: orders, listings, performance and payouts. eBay's pages we read do not set the two side by side, so we do not claim which links point where on your account. Start from Seller Hub when the task is about running sales.

Beyond eBay's tools

What Seller Hub covers, and what a separate tracker adds

Seller Hub is built for running your eBay account. It shows your orders, listings, selling costs, sales reports and payouts, and eBay supplies the data. That is what it is for, and it is free.1

What it does not hold is what you paid for the item. Your cost of goods, receipts, where the item sits in your storage, and sourcing mileage live outside eBay, so profit per item needs a place to combine them with the sale. Some sellers do that in a spreadsheet, some in a tool built for it. Either way, eBay's own reports are a good starting point for the sale side of the numbers.

In Strooply

What Strooply adds next to Seller Hub

Strooply does not replace Seller Hub, and you still use Seller Hub for things like shipping labels and eBay's own reports. Strooply connects to your eBay account through eBay's official sign-in and API. Once connected, your sales and eBay charges (fees, ad fees, shipping labels and refunds) come in and Strooply subtracts the cost you recorded for each item, so you see net profit per item and per period. When eBay posts the payout, Strooply uses the actual payout as its starting amount. Strooply also does photo identification, live eBay comps and AI listing drafts that you review before anything publishes. See how Strooply works and the eBay profit tracker.

Check comps and estimated profit, then review the draft before you list

Strooply is an app for eBay resellers that identifies items from photos, shows live comps and sold-price estimates, drafts eBay listings for your review, and tracks costs and profit.
