eBay Store subscription: plans, prices, and how to open or cancel one.
An eBay Store is a paid subscription with five levels: Starter, Basic, Premium, Anchor and Enterprise. This guide lists what eBay charges for each level today, how to subscribe, how to change levels, and how to cancel, including the early termination fee on yearly plans. If you are deciding whether a Store pays for itself, use the Store break-even calculator.

eBay Store plans and what each one costs
When you subscribe, you pick one of five Store packages and choose automatic monthly or yearly renewal. Under either choice, eBay charges the subscription fee once a month, and it keeps charging until you cancel.1 The prices below are the per-month fees on eBay's Store selling fees page as of October 25, 2026. eBay can change them, so check that page before you decide.
| Store level | Monthly renewal | Yearly renewal | Final value fee, most categories |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $7.95 | $4.95 | 13.6% up to $7,500 per item, 2.35% above |
| Basic | $27.95 | $21.95 | 12.7% up to $2,500 per item, 2.35% above |
| Premium | $74.95 | $59.95 | 12.7% up to $2,500 per item, 2.35% above |
| Anchor | $349.95 | $299.95 | 12.7% up to $2,500 per item, 2.35% above |
| Enterprise | Not currently available | $2,999.95 | 12.7% up to $2,500 per item, 2.35% above |
Every Store level also pays a per order fee on top of the percentage: $0.30 on orders of $10.00 or less and $0.40 on larger orders.1 Some categories have their own rates, so the table shows the general case only. Open eBay's Store selling fees page for your category, then run your own numbers through the eBay fee calculator.
Because the monthly and yearly columns are both per-month prices, the gap between them is easy to add up. As plain arithmetic on eBay's figures, Basic costs $335.40 over twelve months on monthly renewal and $263.40 on yearly renewal. The yearly price comes with a catch described below: an early termination fee if you leave before the last month of the term.
What a Store subscription includes
eBay describes a Store as lower final value fees, more zero insertion fee listings (free listings) each month, and extra tools for managing and promoting your listings, compared with selling without a Store.1 Insertion fees still exist after you use your monthly allowance of free listings. Unused free listings do not carry over to the next calendar month.2
For fixed price listings across all categories, eBay's table gives Basic 1,000 zero insertion fee listings (free listings) a month, Premium 10,000, Anchor 25,000 and Enterprise 100,000. The Starter row and the select-category and auction-style allowances are laid out differently on eBay's page, so read that table directly for them. Selling limits on your account still apply, and certain categories are excluded.1
Your own storefront is the other half of the package. In Seller Hub, the Store tab lets you do the following, according to eBay's management page:3
- Add a Store description of up to 1,000 characters, and Store policies of up to 4,000 characters.
- Upload a logo of 300 by 300 pixels and a billboard image of 1280 by 290 pixels, or add a short video.
- Create up to 300 custom Store categories, and feature up to 6 of them on the storefront.
- Show up to 4 rows of featured listings, with up to 6 listings in each row.
- Schedule time away and choose whether sales pause while you are gone.
eBay's help page does not tie each of these tools to a specific Store level, so compare the levels on the Choose a Store Subscription page before you pay. You also need a seller account with a linked checking account for payouts, and opening a Store does not change your selling limits.4 For a tour of the tabs where these tools live, see the Seller Hub guide.
How to open an eBay Store
Subscribing takes four steps, which eBay lists on its Open an eBay Store page:4
- Go to Choose a Store Subscription.
- Find the Store level you want and select Select and review.
- Choose the subscription term, yearly or monthly, and enter a name for your Store.
- Select Submit order to buy the subscription.
After that, eBay walks you through setting up the storefront: choosing a design, adding a logo, creating custom categories and previewing the page before it goes live.4
Choosing a Store name
Your Store name becomes your storefront address. eBay removes special characters, adds hyphens between words and lowercases the result, so a name like Fine Jewelry! becomes ebay.com/str/fine-jewelry.4 The name rules in short:
- It can match your eBay username, but it cannot be another member's username.
- It must start and end with a letter or number.
- It cannot contain www, the characters <, > or @, or end with an internet address ending such as .com.
- It cannot contain the word eBay, or a name that is confusingly similar to a company name protected by trademark law.
eBay's page has a few more edge cases, so read the full list before you submit. eBay also advises against renaming a Store later, because links and bookmarks buyers saved will stop working.3
When billing starts
According to eBay's Stores Subscription Terms of Service, you are charged a prorated fee for the days between sign-up and the start of the first full calendar month, and your Store benefits begin right away, including that month's full allowance of zero insertion fee listings. After that the monthly fee is charged at the start of each billing cycle. Store fees are taken from your current or future payouts, and eBay charges your payment method on file if payouts do not cover them.2 Only one Store subscription can be active at a time across all eBay sites.2

How to change your Store level or renewal term
You can move to a different level, or switch between monthly and yearly renewal, from the Manage subscription page:3
- On Manage subscription, select Change subscription.
- On Choose a Store Subscription, pick the level you want and select Select and review. To change only the term, select Change to monthly or Change to yearly beside your current plan instead.
- On the Review and Submit page, check the order and select Submit order.
The terms explain how the money works. When you upgrade to a level with more benefits, or move from monthly to yearly at the same level, eBay prorates the current month, credits back the unused part of your old fee, and treats the new plan as a new subscription with its own start date. No early termination fee is charged on an upgrade.2 A downgrade works differently. On a monthly plan, you pay the higher rate until the end of the month you downgrade in. On a yearly plan, a downgrade before the last month of the term triggers the early termination fee described below.2
Store final value fee rates apply to listings created, relisted or renewed on or after your subscription start date. Listings created before that date do not get the Store rate.2
How to cancel an eBay Store subscription
- Go to your Subscriptions page, or use the Cancel eBay Store subscription button on eBay's Close an eBay Store page.
- Find your active Store subscription and select Cancel subscription.
Add-on packages you bought, such as Selling Manager Pro, are cancelled automatically with the Store.5 If you only need a break, eBay points out that you can put the Store on vacation instead of closing it.5
What cancelling costs
The cost depends on your term, per eBay's Terms of Service:2
- Monthly plan. There is no early termination fee. You pay the Store fee for the whole calendar month you cancel in, keep Store benefits to the end of it, and pay standard fees on new listings from the next month. In the first, mandatory period, which runs to the end of the first full calendar month, you are billed for that period either way.
- Yearly plan, before the last calendar month of the term. eBay charges an early termination fee, plus the monthly fee for the month you cancel in.
- Yearly plan, in the last calendar month of the term. No early termination fee applies.
The early termination fee is the number of months left in the term, multiplied by your monthly Store fee, divided by 3. As eBay's own table shows, a Basic yearly plan with 6 months remaining carries a fee of $43.90, and with 12 months remaining $87.80. Starter, Premium, Anchor and Enterprise rows are in the same table. eBay says it contacts yearly subscribers by email and My eBay message at least 30 days before the term renews automatically.2
What happens to your listings
Auction-style listings stay active until they end or sell. Active fixed price listings may be subject to standard fees after the Store closes. eBay saves your Store settings for 30 days in case you want to reopen it.5 Listings created after you cancel are not eligible for Store final value fee rates.2
Picking a level without guessing
The plan table is a price list, not a recommendation. Which level fits depends on how many orders you ship in a month, what your typical sale is and which categories you sell in, because rates differ by category. The Store break-even calculator takes those inputs and compares eBay's fees plus the subscription for selling with no Store against Basic, Premium and Anchor. For a general walk through every charge on an eBay sale, read eBay fees explained.
If you do open a Store, keep the packing costs in view as well. Boxes, mailers and tape are a real part of what each order costs, and the shipping supplies guide covers what to stock.

Store rates in the calculators
Strooply does not open, change or cancel an eBay Store subscription. That is done on eBay. What Strooply does offer is the arithmetic: the fee calculator works with Store subscription rates, and the break-even calculator compares no Store with Basic, Premium and Anchor using eBay's published subscription prices. Strooply's profit tracking reads your eBay fees as eBay reports them, as described on how Strooply works. This guide does not claim that the monthly Store charge is a line in that tracking, so keep your eBay monthly financial statement for your own records. Seller Hub shows that statement.2
Check comps and estimated profit, then review the draft before you list
Strooply is an app for eBay resellers that identifies items from photos, shows live comps and sold-price estimates, drafts eBay listings for your review, and tracks costs and profit.
